I believe that music is best taught as a whole and strive to find a balance between encouraging initiative and forging discipline. Practical teaching is nourished by theoretical insight, and vice versa. At the heart of it all - to share the pleasure and fun of making music.

I am happy to teach students who wish to work towards ABRSM or Trinity graded exams, in both Piano, Practical Musicianship and Music Theory.

One of the greatest joys of music-making is the opportunity to play with other musicians. A good accompanist can make or break a performance be it in the context of a concert, recording or exam.

As an experienced chamber musician and concert soloist, I am happy to accompany exams and auditions (including Aural Test preparation), as well as take on larger concert and recording projects.
