Notes:

Hello! I'm Eleanor, a Piano and Music Theory teacher. I love teaching piano and have been for over 5 years now. I teach from beginner level up to grade 8 + Piano and up to grade 5 music theory. I ensure that students enjoy their piano journey, which in turn results in them reaching their goals.

I've been classically trained in Piano for over 10 years and have graduated with a 1st class honours degree in classical piano performance from Leeds Conservatoire. I know what is needed to really make a well rounded pianist and I bring my experiences of conservatoire life to my private tuition.

When it is viable, I will be organising public performances for my students to really get them used to being a performing musician - a task that I know hugely improves the standard of one's playing. It's also highly enjoyable and can be a celebration of learning milestones within a students' piano journey.

I have a professional-level online teaching set up and have very successfully brought my same face to face teaching standard to the online method. There are actually many benefits to online teaching - it's very convenient and students from anywhere in the country can access quality lessons even if they don't like close to a teacher. I will be continuing to offer online lessons in the future even when we've returned to 'normal'.

I currently teach online only but will be teaching from my studio in Long Eaton from the 28th of September. I have a reconditioned Broadwood grand piano and a Yamaha Clavinova, so my lessons can be done socially distanced with my student and myself on different pianos. My students also get the chance to learn on a fantastic grand piano!

I've had a range of teaching experience, from children from the ages of 8 - 65! I'm happy to take students from age 6 to any age - I believe there's always the possibility of learning a new skill no matter your age.

I listen to my students' needs and I will formulate goals specifically to suit them. I will ensure my students stay passionate throughout their learning experience and enjoy seeing improvements in their playing and understanding.

I can guide you or your child through the classical piano ABRSM exams, and can offer different paths if you would prefer to work towards individual goals.

Please message me if you have any questions and we discuss what I can help you with!

COVID-19:
During this difficult time, I'm committed to the safety of my students. I will be teaching online until its safe to teach face to face. My face to face lessons will be conducted socially distanced - I have 2 pianos for my student and myself and they'll be 2 metres apart. There'll be hand sanitizer on entry and hand washing facilities available.
