I am a highly experienced teacher, examiner and adjudicator, with over 35 years of professional work in the media of performance, teaching, assessment and examination at advanced levels - especially undergraduate, postgraduate and in preparation for professional performance.

I was a Senior Lecturer in performance studies at Edinburgh Napier University for 29 years. I am currently a Principal Study Tutor in piano (for postgraduates, undergraduates and juniors) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, also for undergraduates at the University of Edinbugh.

I currently teach students from intermediate to advanced levels, as these are my most extensive areas of experience. If you require advice about teaching for children, young or adult beginners, I am happy to discuss recommendations for my teacher colleagues free of charge.
