CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:
*I am happy to offer virtual lessons during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Please contact me for information about a consultation lesson for a reduced fee.
I would travel to homes in the surrounding area under normal circumstances*
I am professional freelance musician and teacher based in Maida Vale, having graduated from the University of Cambridge. I received the ABRSM performance diploma on the cello in 2011 after gaining Grade 8 distinction, and I achieved piano Grade 8 distinction in 2010.
As a performer I am a regular dep for Wicked on the West End, and play keys/backing vocals for Roger Taylor’s Queen Extravaganza, the official Queen tribute band that most recently toured the US, Canada, Brazil and the UK. I am also a Musical Director, conducting and playing for shows across the UK.
As a teacher, I have 10 years of experience teaching cello, piano and music theory up to Grade 8 level and have worked as a vocal coach to professional singers and children alike. I also have experience helping students understand core concepts for their GCSE/A-level music exams, in particular giving support and help with Bach chorale work.
I have extensive professional experience performing on cello, piano, singing, upright and electric bass (jazz, classical, pop and musical theatre)
