Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

All lessons are tailored to individual needs. Lessons will cover a wide range of techniques and styles and how to read notation and chords symbols. We can also cover composing, improvisation and song writing.

Support for GCSE music, G5 theory, or pieces for performances and student concerts is available.

Theory lessons include practical activities to get students engaged in music theory and will include dynamics, articulation, Italian terms, tones, accidentally, intervals, chords rests, note values and time signatures.

Exams are optional - and all music boards are covered.

Use of technology, recording and iPads is encouraged but not essential. Live performances are encouraged at our music showcase every year.
