Notes:

I am a very experienced professional musician and piano teacher, having been involved in the music industry for over 30 years. During that time I have worked as the Music Director for many commercial shows (including Grease and Footloose in the West End) as well as MD for eight productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company. I played piano/keyboard on the RSCís original production of Matilda and feature on the original cast recording. Most recently I played for rehearsals for the tour of Matilda and am currently MD cover for the RSCís production of Timon of Athens.
Over the last ten years I have maintained a private teaching practice and also teach piano at Lordswood Girls School. I teach the ABRSM and Trinity syllabus's up to Grade 8 as well as the ABRSM jazz piano course. Some students are also keen to improve their playing without recourse to exams and are happy to explore playing in several styles, using YouTube and online "musicnotes" sites to access pieces they would like to learn. Sometimes lessons may be rearranged to accommodate outside playing engagements but I have found that my students (and the school) are more than happy to accept this as they will continue to be taught by someone who is still active as a professional player and can bring this vast experience to bear on lessons.
Due to these experiences as both a player and Musical Director, I am also an accomplished vocal coach and accompanist and often work with singers preparing for auditions or working on songs for upcoming roles. I offer vocal coaching in Pop and Musical Theatre styles.
