PIANO -
Stuart studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music with Alexander Kelly and piano accompaniment with John Streets. He won 6 major awards at the RAM, including all the prizes for piano accompaniment.
Stuart continued private studies with Geoffrey Parsons and made his debut as an accompanist at the Purcell Room. Recitals followed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Wigmore Hall.
He was honoured in 1981 by the Incorporated Society of Musicians with their Young Artist Award. He has made a number of recordings for BBC Radio 3 and a recording featuring the music of Percy Grainger won the Sony Radio Recording Award for BBC Radio 4. Stuart participated in the first live broadcast for Classic FM and was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy in 1997.

ORGAN -
Stuart Hutchinson began organ studies whilst a young chorister. In 1974 he was awarded the London University Organ Scholarship. Whilst still a student at the RAM, Stuart was appointed Director of Music to the University of London Chaplaincy (Hinde Street) a post he held for thirteen years (1976-1989). Stuart was subsequently Director of Music at the Wren church of St Andrew (Holborn), where Handel was once organist; also, at Holy Redeemer (Clerkenwell), and for twenty years at the parish church of St James, Islington (London).
He is currently Director of Music at the heritage church of St Mary de Haura, New Shoreham.
Stuart has played the organ on numerous BBC radio broadcasts - also television and film.

VOCAL COACH -
Stuart has held the posts of Head of Music and Chorus Master for the Buxton International Opera Festival, Dublin Grand Opera and Wexford Festival Opera. He has also worked on the music-staff of the English National Opera, Opera North, Opera 80 and New Sadler's Wells Opera.
Stuart has also worked as a vocal coach at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, at Mountview Theatre Academy (where one of his pupils numbered Connie Fisher, of television Maria fame), and is currently a Vocal Coach (Associate Lecturer) at the University of Chichester.
