Notes:
I am a composer, conductor and pianist with 30 years experience of teaching piano, music theory, singing and composition. I studied piano with Peter Bithell of the Guildhall School of Music, and others, as well as composition and conducting, and now have a strong association with music-making around North West London, arranging and playing in concerts, particularly of new classical music.
My teaching is based on the interests and previous experience of the students and is usually one-to-one, with a focus on understanding the elements of music in theory and in practice, being able to read and hear music accurately, and practice productively and efficiently. My goal is to teach you to be able teach yourself.
