Violin, Viola, Theory, Piano Classical, folk, improvisation., , I am a strong believer that there is no one size fits all for teaching - especially when students are learning extra curricular activities such as music. , , Lessons must be enjoyable and fulfil the aims of the students (are you looking to join an amateur orchestra? want to feel confident turning up to a folk session? want your child to progress through grade exams? want to explore new creative avenues and see where they lead?) and must also fit around other life committments realistically. , , I aim to equip students with the tools they need to grown their own creative and musical approach by helping students find the repertoire they connect with most and tailoring technical and aural work to best support this. , , Music can be immensley rewarding, but it can also be very challenging. One of my primary aims is to challenge students enough to progress and surprise themselves, but always staying aware of the student experience and enjoyment. My combined knowledge and experience of different styles of playing and teaching mean I can adapt lesson plans easily to different learners.
