cello My teaching style varies depending on age and ability level.I try to focus not only on the cello technique but also general musicianship and appreciation of music.I do encourage my pupils to play in ensambles;their friends, parents or me accompanying them on the piano or cello.I would also encourage them to perform. It doesn't have to be a concert but even just playing to the closest family members gives them a goal to work towards and then a feeling of achievement.

Cello, Piano, Music Theory, History Classical; improvisation, , Over the past ten years I have taught a large number of pupils, at homes and at several primary and secondary schools (St Cecilia's Wandsworth (secondar), 06-10, Cavendish School (primary), 04-14). I have taught children from as young as five up to adults as old as fifty-five! I generally recommend that pupils begin slightly later however, at 6 or 7 years old. I share with pupils my own, strong classical training, but having worked in improvisatory contexts I am also able to teach this technique also.
