VIOLIN/VIOLA I have always enjoyed teaching from a very early age, I had my first private students when I was Eighteen, while I was a student at the Royal Academy of Music. Since then I have taught both privately and also as a chamber music coach as part of my Quartet Fellowship at the Trinity college of Music., , The standard of my students ranges from beginners through diploma level. This variety means I approach each student differently and set short term and long term goals to suit each individual. , Allied to my concert work it also means that I have taught and know a wide ranging repertoire. In my approach to teaching I try to impart as much information to my students as I can, but whilst realizing the need to stand back and allow each student to develop at their own pace. , , In the lessons I place great emphasis on good technique, sound and posture, as I do not believe that musical and technical issues should be dealt with separately. I try to enthuse my students and to encourage them to enjoy music-making.
