I can teach virtually all styles & genres at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels - I specialise in rock & blues, but can teach metal, reggae, ska, soul, punk, rock n roll, country, folk, pop, prog/alt, jazz, classical & others and have had professional band experience in many of these.

I am a member of the Register of Guitar Tutors (RGT) as well as the Musicians Union (MU)
Instruments: Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar
Genre/Style(s): All Styles Covered
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

Notes:

I teach on a one-to-one basis and structure lessons around the individual interests & needs of each student. Whatever genre or style of music makes you tick I can help you to play, progress and broaden your experience of it - and most importantly to enjoy making your own kind of music! For more advanced players, I can help you improve your techniques, learn new tricks & move to new levels - my own experience is that you never stop learning, there are always new vistas to explore, inspire & enjoy. If you wish to move into the performance sphere, I have a wealth of experience to share and have helped a no. of students to get going professionally. I can also help you prepare for examinations, such as Rockschool, or back up school/college tuition. Or maybe you just want to relax & enjoy - I believe that enjoying making music has a huge role in this increasingly busy world in helping us to unwind & de-stress, as well as in helping us to progress as a guitarist, and I always try to make lessons as enjoyable & inspiring as possible.

Lessons are conducted in a specially set up room, with amplifiers, pedals etc - all you need to bring is your guitar and yourself. I also have a wide selection of music & teaching materials, and on the spot internet access to download & print any other tracks you'd like to learn, but you are welcome to bring along your own at any time.

The atmosphere is always friendly, informal & relaxed and parents are welcome to sit in on lessons or stay onsite.

Available times are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 2pm-10pm and Wednesday & Friday 2pm-5.30pm
