I am based in Hampstead, but happy to teach in other areas of London.

As a Music Scholar at school (North London Collegiate), music played and continues to play an important role in my life, and I have been teaching piano to children for 5 years.

My previous training as an actress (Two Year Acting course at Drama Studio London) has proven to be highly beneficial to my teaching; it enhanced my communication skills and equipped me with the necessary energy one needs to bring into a room to keep a student engaged and keen to learn.

My other work with children over the years has included Teaching Asssistant positions in various schools, which also led to my gaining a position as a private tutor to a child with behavioural and learning difficulties. I also used to run a parent and baby/toddler music group, where I would sing and play the violin.

Most of my students are children, but I also teach adults who are either complete beginners, or they are returning to the piano after some years.

Through my lessons, my main aim is to inspire a student and to keep them eager to learn, which comes from discipline, enthusiasm and encouragement during the lesson. But of course the most important thing (I believe) is that the student is given the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy learning their instrument... After all, isn't that what music is all about?!
