I believe passionately in the importance of teaching and encourage pupils to achieve their goals to the best of their ability through maximum enjoyment. I have seen how inspiring teachers can be during my own training as a cellist and have experienced the joy of seeing pupils grow as musicians, whether in a single lesson or over a period of time. I have taught both children and adults individually and in groups in the UK and abroad. With my string trio, I have given masterclasses and lessons internationally. As a freelance cellist working with groups such as Southbank Sinfonia, Kidenza and the Multi-Story Orchestra, I have worked in numerous educational projects across the country. To see the reactions of the participants has been wonderful.

I graduated with a Masters degree from the Royal Academy of Music in 2013, having previously studied music at Trinity Hall, Cambridge where I held an Instrumental Award and a choral scholarship. I studied the cello with Josephine Knight and have played in masterclasses and received coaching from internationally acclaimed artists such as Steven Isserlis, Peter Bruns and Mario Brunello.

I am within the Greenwich, Blackheath, Deptford and Isle of Dogs areas. I am available during the week and occasional weekends. As a freelance cellist my schedule varies from week to week but have always been able to make this work for my pupils. I can prepare pupils for all music syllabi, auditions, competitions and academic exams. I am a member of the Musicians' Union, am approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service, have a clean driving license and no criminal record.
