Hi! I'm a teacher, composer, pianist and percussionist.

I've worked as a music teacher in primary school, and taught piano, percussion, and composition in groups and individually.

Teaching classroom music at Rushey Green Primary School, Catford, I taught school choirs, took singing assemblies, and ran music-and-movement sessions, utilising Dalcroze techniques. I have experience working with hard-of-hearing students.

Since 2013, I have supervised Composition and Music History at Cambridge University. I've also taught Composition and Orchestration at Huddersfield University since 2016.

I'm an experienced performer of jazz, and can offer guidance in jazz piano and jazz drums, improvisation, and jazz composition and arranging.

I have also taught composition and music theory, including all aspects of notation, orchestration, counterpoint, harmony, fugue, as well as modern and experimental approaches to composition. I can offer preparation for university courses and interviews, and information about Oxford and Cambridge.

I can also offer tuition in music technology, including microphone techniques, midi sequencing, mixing, synthesisers, samplers, Kontakt, Logic X, and Sibelius.

As a composer, I've been performed internationally, by musicians ranging from the BBC Symphony Orchestra to free improvisers. Music of mine has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

As a music teacher, I received NQT Training in Safeguarding, Working with Children with ASD, Differentiation, and Behaviour Management.
