Notes:

Hi there!

My name is Arran Swain and I am a professional drummer/educator based in the south and east of London and in Surrey.

I have been playing for 15+ years and teaching for 8+, with experience of educating children and teens from ages 5-18 and adults, varying across a wide range of playing levels, from pure beginners, right up to advanced levels of those applying to/currently enrolled in music university.

My aim is to cater to your or your child's needs, be that just having a fun time learning a new instrument or working through more focused grade like studies and preparation for performances/exams. I always aim to ensure that lessons are fun while still providing a solid level of theory and technique.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many music educators have started lessons over Zoom or other streaming services, myself being no exception. This works very well and has been a great alternative to in person lessons.

However during normal times I am mainly a peripatetic teacher, where I would travel to your house and provide drum lessons. I do also have a practice studio I can teach at if this is better suited to your needs. So no matter where you are based in London or even further afield, feel free to drop me an enquiry and we can discuss online and future in person lessons.

I have an enhanced clean DBS certificate and my relevant music qualifications are listed in the profile.

I offer a first 'taster' lesson for free so you can see if drum lessons are for you! I can also off some levels of discount for bulk blocks of lessons.

*I can bring a practice set up of practice pad, bass drum practice pad, stool and sticks if this is required.*
