Rachel is a patient, encouraging and intuitive teacher. She will take time to fully understand your goals and works with you to help you best achieve them. With her impressive singing background and experience, Rachel has a great technique and works hard to let you get the most out of singing.

I only had the chance to follow Rachel's lessons for a few months, as a complete beginner. Having a very busy professional life and little time to practice, I had limited expectations as to what progress I could actually achieve. However, Rachel was naturally able to taylor the lessons to my constraints and to my musical tastes. She's very focused on technique, but even more on musical feel and interpretation. As a result, it never felt like an academic learning process, and I gained more confidence and technique that I could have imagined at first.

Rachel has really helped me get the best out of my voice and gain confidence in my singing ability. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I really look forward to our sessions and can hear and feel the progress I have made since starting with her. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone wanting to sing. (Brighton)

Despite working in the music industry for several years, I felt I needed assistance improving my vocal technique. I was incredibly impressed by Rachel's approach to teaching. I enjoyed the challenge and felt there was a clear approach that worked, catering both for modern and classical techniques. There was a also a strong bias on improving the musical ear which I feel is very important, and often overlooked by some tutors.I found Rachel a natural teacher, fun but with a strong ambition to help you improve as a student. I found my understanding and technique improved significantly and I would recommend her as a teacher to anyone serious about improving vocally. (Eastbourne)

I first started going to Rachel at London City Music in 2012, after being diagnosed with vocal nodules. Rachel not only helped cure me of the nodules through correcting my warm-ups and singing habits, but also helped me navigate London's competitive music scene and gain the skills and confidence to dive in. I couldn't recommend a more positive and knowledgeable voice teacher.

Rachel was my singing teacher from Jan 2010 until June 2011. She has a strong focus on technique, and combines that with exploring and leveraging your natural voice. Over time, she stretches your capabilities towards more complex songs and a wider reach. She sets ridiculously high standards, but pushes you in an informal and stimulating way. Overall, I have improved greatly and recommend her strongly. During the same time she taught my, now 16 year old daughter, who went on to pass her national singing exam with the highest distinction, although she never sang before.
