Biography

Finnish-born Alina has been playing the violin since she was five. She held her first solo recital at the age of 14. She took her degree in music education at the North Karelia University of Applied Sciences (NK-UAS) in Finland and studied her Master Degree at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 2011. Alina has played in many masterclasses and has performed around the world, including USA, France, Oman and Azerbaijan. She led the symphony orchestra of Joensuu Conservatoire & NK-UAS for four years and worked as a soloist with the orchestra on numerous occasions. Alina has played in many chamber music groups, and has worked professionally with the Joensuu City Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra. Currently Alina is a member of the Southbank Sinfonia and leading the Collaborative Orchestra in London. Alina is committed and enthusiastic violin tutor with experience teaching all levels and ages.
