Biography

I am a violist from Cincinnati, Ohio. In my youth career, I performed with the Northern Kentucky University Preparatory Programs in their Solisti Chamber Ensemble and Youth Philharmonic, and was awarded a place as a violist in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra.

I received my Bachelor's degree in viola performance from Northern Kentucky University in May 2017, and am currently a postgraduate student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the Master of Music course.

I have many years of experience in teaching private violin and viola lessons, of varying ages and levels of playing. I have taught in many different settings that included private lessons and group teaching in the Midwest of the United States, as well as teaching locally to Glasgow in areas of East Kilbride, Glasgow City Centre, Partick, and Milngavie.

The students I have tutored have been successful in youth orchestra auditions, performances, and various exams. I focus on teaching students to be well-rounded technically and musically, build self-confidence in each student, create a foundation of positive practice methods and most of all, have fun!

My performance experience includes orchestral, large and small chamber ensemble, jazz combo, folk, rock, traditional, and solo performances.

I love teaching and working with students of all ages and levels of experience, as well as taking on brand-new students!

I am a verified member of the Musician's Union UK, the European String Teachers Association and have a valid and clear Certificate of Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland, 2019.
