My daughter Stephanie (aged 14) has been studying with Miss Gerrard for around 6 months. During this time Stephanie has blossomed as a singer and grown enormously in confidence. She has recently been awarded a music scholarship at her Independent School and also won first prize in the school's annual singing competition. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Linda used to teach me singing, she is an inspiration to all and a good role model for those wanting to take up this type of music.

My daughter Isabel (age 13) started weekly singing lessons with Linda Gerrard in November 2010. We are delighted with the progress she has made and continues to make, and she was recently awarded a distinction in Grade 3 ABRSM. Linda has exactly the right approach. She is clearly passionate and motivated with a sense of fun and informality. This, coupled with her knowledge and experience make her the perfect choice for Isabel. Linda knows how to get the best from her and her confidence has soared as a result. I would not hesitate in recommending Linda as a wonderful teacher.

"Linda is a supportive teacher and encouraging when my confidence wanes and knowing that she has years of experience behind her gives peace of mind while I am learning. She is also down to earth, friendly and is happy to answer any question I have regarding my lesson."

Dearest Linda Please forgive the lateness of this letter; it has always been our intention to write. This is just a note to thank you personally and to congratulate you on your exemplary teaching! Our daughter Carmen (aged 10) has been attending singing lessons with you for almost two years now, and with your guidance, inspiration and nurturing they have made a significant impact on her. She continues to flourish as a singer and is turning into a confident person. As proof of this, we were absolutely delighted when Carmen gained gold and silver medals in her solo vocal classes in the recent Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts. She also continues to excel with high standards in her ABRSM graded exams. You truly are an amazing teacher, fun and extremely talented, who also demonstrates passion and dedication to all your students. We are immensely grateful that we found you teaching at our daughter's school; your distinctive quality is an absolute asset to Rendcomb College's music department. Our only regret is that Carmen did not start lessons with you sooner. Your capacity for caring and provision of support where needed is beyond question, therefore I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone seeking your help. Once again a heartfelt thanks from us for all you have done to help Carmen achieve. Yours truly Jennifer& David Lee

"Thank you. I have been amazed with what I have heard from Cecily's singing recently and very impressed with her warm up this afternoon. Couldn't be more pleased.Outside of her voice - I've seen tremendous growth in Cecily's overall personal confidence since she began singing which is really great to see.And I see some growing appreciation of other genres of music too. I noticed with a bit of amusement the other day that whilst she still protests when I play my favourite opera cd in the car (Anna Netrebko's Lucia di Lammermoor performance) she only does so after listening to the singing for a few minutes - something she would have never done in the past. Thanks for all your hard work with Cecily this year". Matt Tordoff

"Our daughter Chloe (aged 10) has been taking lessons with Linda for just over a year and is already studying for her Grade 3 ABRSM, having received a Distinction in her Grade 2 exam earlier this year. We cannot praise Linda highly enough for the way in which she has given Chloe the confidence and ability to achieve what she has in the last year through her expert tuition and guidance. As well as performing at a couple of local church concerts and the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts (gaining a Silver medal in the process), she has also just made it through to the regional final of the First News Diamond Kids talent competition and the last 12 of over 1,000 entrants in the region. Linda has a very friendly and approachable tutoring style which clearly suits Chloe perfectly and she has a remarkable ability to inspire confidence and bring out the best in her. Whilst the dramatic improvement in Chloe's singing has been wonderful to witness, it has been equally rewarding to see Chloe having such fun."Peter and Sarah Knight
