Paul began playing guitar at the age of seven. Little did he know at the time, that it would become a life long passion and ultimately a life long career.

By the time Paul was nine he was taking formal lessons and studying at his local music college. For the next few years he studied classical guitar and learned to read music, which later proved invaluable, as he embarked on live session work and travelled the world working on luxury cruise ships.

Paul studied ‘GCE’ and ‘A’ Level Music at school and went on to study at Leeds College of Music.

Paul has a wealth of knowledge and passion for the instrument and loves to share this knowledge with his students.

As well as teaching the guitar, Paul as many years of real experience as a jobbing musician.

He as played guitar with Sixties recording bands ‘The Applejacks’ who had a top ten hit with ‘Tell Me When’. He played for ‘Freddie and the Dreamers’, throughout the U.K and Europe, performing hits such as, ‘I’m Telling You Now’ and ‘You Were Made For Me’.

Paul has worked at sea for companies such as Thompson Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, P&O Cruise Lines and on the Queen Elizabeth II for Cunard. Whilst with P&O his main role was accompanying the visiting Tribute Artists – Tributes to Freddie Mercury, Annie Lennox, Elton John, Johnny Cash, Madonna, Cher, George Michael, Kenny Rodgers, John Denver, Robbie Williams & Michael Buble.

In-between Cruise Ship Contracts Paul worked in the House Band at Butlins, accompanying Production Shows and Visiting Artists, which included Bucks Fizz and P.J Proby.

Paul has recently toured throughout the UK with ‘A Vision of Elvis’ theatre show.
