John Rogers has performed and taught in every corner of the globe. He has worked with Leonard Bernstein, Valery Gergiev, and Yo-Yo-Ma, accompanied Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, Randy Newman, Rolf Harris, Katherine Jenkins and Jackie Chan, made solo radio broadcasts in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and on the BBC, played at 10 Downing Street, Miami Dolphins’ Stadium, the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, and Abbey Road studios, and appeared in the movie “Mrs Henderson Presents” starring Dame Judi Dench.

His students have graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and entered the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, attended Grittleton Chamber Music Course and others, led the Cambridge Youth Orchestra and the Cambridge-Heidelberg-Montpelier Orchestra, played concertos with the orchestra of the Perse School for Girls, and gained Associated Board diplomas.

He tours regularly with English Touring Opera, and appears with such orchestras as the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Brighton Philharmonic, Britten Sinfonia, London Handel Orchestra, and Irish Baroque Orchestra.

He currently teaches chamber music and also violin and viola at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Junior Department, and at Elthorne Park High School, and the viola at Anglia Ruskin University. For fourteen years he taught at the Perse School for Girls in Cambridge.
