Notes:

I started providing private piano lessons in 2006 while studying at the College of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire and, later on, I also worked for music schools as a piano teacher and accompanist. My students used to be of different age (usually 5-15) and preparation level. This teaching experience taught me that it is very important for younger students and beginners to enjoy their lessons while learning the rudiments of music as well as acquiring a strong work ethic. After graduating, I was hired as a piano professor assistant at the Conservatoire until 2014, when I moved to London to study at the Royal College of Music. Since September 2015, I cover Professor Vanessa Latarcheís lessons when she is away. Overall, all these experiences have helped me develop my interpersonal and pedagogical skills, by learning to show resilience, confidence and persuasiveness while remaining calm under pressure and flexible.
I grew up and studied in Russia where there is an established piano school which consists in teaching strict rules and a strong work ethic from the very beginning. Although overall effective, I reckon that these strict conditions may sometimes prevent students from unleashing their real potential. Consequently, I believe that that these basics should be combined with more creative solutions such as improvisation, singing, and musical games. Furthermore, different children have different abilities so I try to tailor my teaching style to each studentís individual needs.
In 2019 I was appointed piano professor at the Royal College of Music, one of the top music universities.
