Teaching from beginners/brand new starters to intermediate plus some more in-depth techniques.
My styles include finger-picking, blues, folk, rock and funk. I have well developed skills in improvisation, live performance, recording/session work and songwriting.
The premise I start from is that of closely considering what the individual student is looking for so that I can help her/him achieve their aims and most importantly, not only to keep moving forward on their instrument, but also to really enjoy the process!
The aims the student might include anything from starting from scratch, learning to play some of their favourite songs, or trying to tackle a particular technique.
Many of my students now enjoy learning via the Trinity Rock & Pop course which I am happy to facilitate.
Song-craft - Songwriting 1-1 tutorials and/or group workshops;
As a prolific songwriter who has had compositions used for a BBC soundtrack as incidental music in one case and received critical acclaim from the music press for my songs/recordings, I also provide songwriting workshops, both 1-1 and for groups.
Perhaps you want to write a song for the first time and don't really know how to start?
Maybe you have written before but find yourself 'stuck'?
Or maybe you want to co-write a song?
