George is a freelance musician based in Manchester with an emphasis on original music. He recently graduated with first class honours from the Royal Northern College of Music's BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance Degree.

George plays bass guitar, double bass and violin in a variety of genres and ensembles but focuses on three: Diving Station (harp-driven dream pop band), Bethlehem Casuals (7-piece groove-folk outfit) and indie-folk singer-songwriter Anna McLuckie.

Diving Station's music has been featured on shows on BBC Radio 2 (Bob Harris) and BBC Radio 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Guy Garvey). The band have also recorded a live session for BBC Introducing in Manchester and played festivals including Glastonbury and Bluedot.

Bethlehem Casuals have recorded a live session for Marc Riley on BBC Radio 6 and have played at festivals including Mandrea (Italy), Glastonbury and Latitude amongst others.

Anna McLuckie has performed at Green Man, Shambala and Kendal Calling festivals, venues in Russia's Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and supported Richard Hawley at The Met in Bury.

In addition to these projects, George performed (No,12k,Lg,17Mif) with New Order as part of a 12-piece synthesiser orchestra for festivals in Vienna and Turin, as well as Manchester International Festival 2017. A documentary/concert film about this collaboration was premiered on Sky Arts on 22nd September 2018, and a live album was released on July 12th 2019.

George also plays bass guitar and bass synth for the Ignition Orchestra performing Garage Classical. So far they have performed three sold out shows in London: the Barbican Centre in July 2018, followed by the Hammersmith Apollo in December 2018 and Royal Albert Hall in October 2019. The compilation album, 'Garage Classical', was released in October 2019 and features performances from Paloma Faith, Lily Allen, Emeli Sandé and The Sugababes amongst many others.

The Ignition Orchestra have also performed on The Graham Norton Show (Episode 4, Series 26) and The Rap Game UK (Episode 4, Series 2).

In October 2019, George recorded violin parts for two tracks on BC Camplight's critically acclaimed album, 'Shortly After Takeoff'.
