Alistair is an enthusiastic musician with a particular passion for education. Having had lesson with a wide variety of teachers and many different environments, Alistair has a wealth of experience in music education.

Alistair has studied with several local and nationally resound tutors including; Dan Guest, Ash Sheehan and Neil Bullock; and has had lessons both privately as well in full time education to A-level and degree standard. His studies have exposed him to many styles and genres and music, all of which he utilises regularly as performing musician.

One of the main focuses of Alistair's teaching method is teaching students to be musicians - not just drummers. This is achieved by combining both theoretical and structured exercises and self expression and enjoyment through the instrument. He believes that everyone who wants to play an instrument does so to enjoy it, he strives to keep this as the focus of his teaching.

As a teacher, Alistair has been teaching for over 5 years, starting at 18 years old and has taught in private music schools, churches, workshop settings and privately. He has experience teaching both groups and individuals.

Alistair also believes that every student is different and that each students exploration of music should be different. He teaches from a broad curriculum with flexibility to the needs and desires of each student.
