When I started singing like many people I struggled and my struggle continued as I worked at it to try and improve. I went through a few teachers looking for answers and slowly became very frustrated because I realized that most of the teachers I was finding couldn't help me with the specific problems I was going through with my voice.

I would ask questions like 'why can't I sing high like (insert favorite singer here)?' and the answers I would get back were along the lines of 'unfortunately whatever range you have is the range you were born with', essentially I was told it was about luck and it appeared the I had been very unlucky!

Something told me to keep trying to find answers and one day I stumbled upon the website of a great great teacher that has changed my life. This man had the ability to take people to places they didn't think were possible and he had a firm belief that with hard work and persistence in the right direction dreams really can come true. For the next 6 years I followed his teachings and have had coaching from other great teachers around the world who also use this simple method to open the voice up and let it start to fly.

Using your voice especially in front of other people can be an emotional process that requires a certain type of listening and also requires a certain type of approach that unfortunately is lacking in our culture. I have been lucky enough to find the right people to help me find the voice I was born with and help me change my ideas about what is important in singing and what isn't.

I feel like I now have a responsibility to begin passing on these ideas to other singers and to instill real confidence in people that there is an answer out there if your willing to go get it!

I teach all levels of singer from beginner to advanced and my main goal is to equip students with the right tools, the tools that enable them abandon fear and begin to fly with confidence.

My approach is all about breaking singing down into simple parts. What I try to work on is helping the student learn to refine muscle coordination and gradually encourage them to abandon unnecessary muscle interference. I tailor my approach to meet your individual challenges and needs to help your full potential blossom.
