After moving from Plymouth to Edinburgh last July I am now living near Kinross and I am looking forward to building up my pupils here in this beautiful area. I love teaching and passing on my passion for playing the violin, viola and piano. I have taught many different ages and abilities and enjoy the challenge teaching brings with each individual. I tailor my teaching to suit each person carefully using all my experience both technically and musically. I have been teaching violin, viola and piano privately and in schools in the Plymouth area for 14 years and in the London area 11 years before that. I have entered pupils for A.B.R.S.M exams successfully and alongside teaching I work as a freelance violin and viola player in various different classical, pop and jazz ensembles including the Peninsular Arts Sinfionetta (formally Ten Tors orchestra) for 12 years, principal viola in Three Spires orchestra for 5 years and a member of the award winning 4tissimo String Quartet for 6 years. I have worked in various theatre pit orchestras for shows and opera and I have been involved in recordings for film, rock, classical, pop and jazz albums. I was the lead violinist of the Hamer and Isaacs Gypsy Swing Band and The Hot Club of Stonehouse. Please check out my website and contact me to ask any questions.
