James is a freelance composer, multi-instrumentalist and teacher based in London. He recently completed his undergraduate degree in composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under Sam Hayden, Paul Newland, Stephen Montague, Gwyn Pritchard and viola with Richard Crabtree.

James is an experienced teacher having taught for over seven years privately as well as teaching violin for a year at a Primary School. He teaches both individual and small group lessons and has also led musical workshops in numerous primary schools for large groups of up to 30 children.

Lessons are tailored to the pupils' needs, whether training for graded examinations or learning for fun, and combine practical skills with music theory and technical exercises.
