I teach cello, piano, music theory and creative skills to students of all levels and ambitions. Friendly and enthusiastic, I have been an instrumental teacher for 10 years both privately and at primary and secondary schools to adults and children alike. I enjoy helping students to reach their full potential and drawing on my wide musical experience, tailor lessons to the tastes and interests of individual students. So whether you are keen to learn classical repertoire and take ABRSM grades or simply want to improve your skills and enjoy a stimulating hobby, I can help you.

I have recently moved to Deal from London, where I ran my own music school 'Wharf Notes' from a converted shipping container at Trinity Buoy Wharf. I have guided numerous students through ABRSM grades and academic music qualifications to achieve top marks. I also have a growing number of students from a pop music or production background that I help with theory and keyboard skills (often away from sheet music) to enhance their existing skills.

As a classically trained cellist and multi-instrumentalist, I am an experienced performer playing at concert halls and music festivals around the world, on television programmes such as Later... with Jools Holland and live for BBC radio 1, 2, 3 and 6 Music.

For six years I was a member of baroque-pop ensemble The Irrepressibles and toured 'The Haunted Man' album with Bat for Lashes, notably supporting Depeche Mode in America. I am a co-founder of the musical collective Principle Six and play keyboards with pop band Stats.
