Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. Notes:

I am fully DBS checked and can provide documents upon request.

Lessons take place at my fully equipped teaching space at my home in SE26. I also have professional recording equipment should a student want to create recordings or demos for audition or personal use (price on request).

I am a versatile teacher and experienced performer/ singer specialising in popular vocal styles. As a result of studying Music and Jazz vocals to Masters level and with extensive performing experience, my knowledge and approach to harmony, rhythm, musical interpretation and vocal techniques reached a high level of proficiency.

I have a lot of experience in the real world of performing and have the tools needed for a vocalist to sing at their best whilst keeping the voice safe. I also aim to explore the students creativity and individuality of their voice to develop their own 'sound'.

In a lesson, you can expect to cover warm ups/ downs, harmony, rhythm, body and vocal delivery techniques and other skills dependent on your focus. You will also work on songs where all of these skills are put into practice. We can also focus on specific audition prep, songwriting and performance workshops (with a provided accompanist for extra fee), or music theory if discussed beforehand.

In addition to specialising in Jazz I am also accomplished in other popular styles such as Blues, Soul, R&B, Pop, Rock and Folk. I employ theoretical techniques but adapt to each individual voice to nurture and develop the differences in each students voice, needs and musical aims.
