My approach is informal tailered to the individual needs of every student.
I began my professional playing & performing at the age of 17 and since then have played with and for many artists including: Nitin Sawhney, Janey Lee Grace (ex Wham), Fairground Attraction, Soul Immigrants, Jim Mullen, Brendan Power (Sting), Claire Martin obe, Omar mbe, Maggie Reilly, Kevin Spacey, Ronny Jordan, Ian Shaw plus numerous shows and corporate events.
Live work has included Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club London, Camden Jazz Café, many UK Festivals Glasgow Mayfest, Cardiff Summer Festival…
I have performed on TV and Radio over the years –
In June 1996 I was featured in RHYTHM Magazine due to particular interest in my teaching at MI and my band ‘the runners’.
I have been writing music for many years for various applications including pop and jingles. I am a PRS Member (Performing Rights Society). I am also a member of the Musicians Union
