Kim Amanda Bott is a recent graduate of the Birmingham Conservatoire, one of England's leading music colleges, where she gained a BMus (Hons) degree. Whilst studying over four years, Kim learnt to master the piano under the tuition of Professor Malcolm Wilson (Head of Keyboard studies), Simon Nichols and John Humphries (Head of accompaniment).
Kim's career since graduating has included a successful and professional private teaching practice where she teaches children and adults of all ages and levels and specialises in teaching young gifted students. Kim teaches classical and jazz piano and uses the Associated Board and Trinity examing boards, where she has a 100% pass rate with both practical and theory exams. Kim recognises the importance for all students to gain as many performing opportunities as possible and encourages her students to participate in music festivals, exams, school concerts and piano competitions. Alongside Kim's teaching practice, she has a varied performing career which has included residencies at prestigious venues such as Bar Epernay in Birmingham's Mailbox, The Broadway Casino in Birmingham and the Hilton Hotel in Portsmouth, as well as accompanist for the Associated Board exams and accompanist in the Zelinski Lounge Duo (Piano & Violin). Kim's position as accompanist in the Zelinski lounge duo has opened up more performing opportunities and their work as a Duo includes perfoming in formal recitals to wedding receptions and corporate functions. Kim has the ability to seek the full potential in each of her students and her successful teaching practice thrives on her professioanl and experienced background and her kind nature towards her students. Kim's reputation as a piano teacher, accompanist and musician is respected and admired by her fellow collegues and students.
