Biography

I have been a music teacher since leaving university in 2012. I started by teaching drum kit on a 1:1 basis teaching both adults and young people. In this line of work I have helped students to take exams, join school and county bands and perform in public. In addition to this, I spent two years working for two different music services (Buckingham-shire Learning trust and Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust) teaching whole class music and 1:1 lessons. In 2016, I completed my Initial teacher training as a secondary school music teacher obtaining qualified teacher status, I completed my NQT year at the same school that I trained at.

As a performer I have worked with the Miles Nottage Rhythm and Blues band which has given me the opportunity to support Tony Hadley and perform at a number of high profile functions including a performance at the British Museum. I also perform with two professional wedding bands and I am currently studying a masters in Jazz Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
