Notes:
I am an experienced piano teacher who believes that playing the piano is more than simply sitting exams. I am a strong advocate of the ABRSM practical exams, and will never enter a pupil for an exam who isn't 100% ready for it, however by the same token, if exams aren't for you then I support you completely. Every pupil spends time playing 'around the grade' at which they are working, so that their playing truly represents their current ability level, rather than powering through the grades and ultimately gaining little experience.
I make lessons fun, with games and activities to consolidate theory and note reading knowledge, and I teach in a very positive and encouraging way.
I am also available for accompaniment at all grades for most instruments. I do not need music in advance unless it is a very high standard of accompaniment. I have a high level of experience of accompanying all grades, and working with children and adults of all ages.
In addition to this I have taught GCSE and A level music for over 13 years, and as such I am well equipped to tutor anyone in this area.
