Abraham Brody is London-based a performance artist and violinist.

He has performed in venues across Europe, USA, and Canada. Most recently he was invited by Marina Abramovic to perform a 6-hour version of his piece ‘The Violinist is Present’ at the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland, curated by Ms. Abramovic. In July 2015 he was invited for a month-long residency at London’s Barbican Centre Art Gallery where he premiered 4 of his new works, based on rituals and ancestors. In June 2015 he created a performance ‘Origins/Refuge’ especially for Pace Gallery London in response to video installations by artist Michal Rovner.

He has also performed as both performance artist and violinist at the Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art London, Sziget Festival Budapest, Royal Festival Hall London, the Moritzburg Festival Germany, where he received the audience prize; Kristupo Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania; the Gewandhaus in Leipzig; Smetana Hall in Prague; Frauenkirche in Dresden; Haydnsaal in Vienna; Royal Opera House, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Barbican Centre, Royal Opera House, Southbank Centre, Spitalfields Music Festival, Shoreditch Church London, St. John’s Smith Square, Sandys Row Synagogue in London; Symphony Hall in Boston, among others.

He has appeared on Lithuanian and Estonian National TV and Radio.
