Biography

Hungarian violist Bettina Racz was born in Békéscsaba. She started playing
the violin at the age of 6. When she was 14 she continued her studies with Erika Toth at the Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. When she was 18 she decided to play the viola.
Presently she is holding a full-fee Entrance Scholarship at the Royal Academy Music in London.
She won the Pál Lukács Hungarian Viola Competition when she was 19. In 2013 she received the Alec Rowley Award from the Royal Academy of Music. She attended masterclasses with such musicians as Nobuko Imai, Tatjana Masurenko, János Rolla and Mihály Várnagy.
