Having come through Birmingham Schools Music Service I was soon Principal Tuba of the National Youth Wind Orchestra and CBSO Youth Orchestra, also gaining a place at Birmingham Conservatoire for undergraduate study where I studied Tuba and Bass Trombone with Graham Sibley, David Gordon Shute, Stuart Birnie, David Vines and Bob Hughes and was a finalist in the Birmingham Conservatoire Brass Prize, Ambache Prize for Performances of Music by Female Composers, and the Bernard Brown Prize for Brass Chamber Ensembles.

My teaching experience includes 10 years of private teaching across London and Birmingham, 2 years full time with Slough Music Service, and two years with Young Music Makers based in North West London.
