Qualifications:

I have been studying djembe for the past twenty years and have studied with master drummers, Mamaday Keita, Seckou Keita and Sidiki to mention a few.
I have been lucky enough to have been invited to teach at the Malaysian Facilittors Conference and more recently travelled to Australia to run a weekend workshop.
I am a qualified Drum Circle Facilitator with Village Music Circles.
I have certification with Health Rhythms (sponsored by Remo) and Rhythm 2 Recovery, with Simon Faulkner. |
Instruments: |
I teach African drum and percussion workshops and run Community Drum Circles.
I work in Primary Schools running after school/ lunchtime clubs.
I also work with special needs adults/children either in small groups or on a one to one basis.
I run community drum circles for various demographics and run two each year, free of charge, to give back to the community that gives me my living.
I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced and teach traditional West African rhythms, with the history of the rhythm and what it’s played for and sometimes the song or dance that goes with it.
I also use various percussion instruments. |

Notes:
Playing djembe was my hobby and 10 years ago I took the leap to make it my full time job.
I love my job with a passion and have been told that it is infectious.
