Marielle studied at Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music and now balances a successful performing career with a busy teaching schedule.

She has worked with numerous ensembles across the UK, leading to performances at Aldeburgh and Dartington Festivals and venues such as Southbank Centre, Kingís Place and the National Portrait Gallery. Recent concerto engagements include Mozartís Flute and Harp, J.S Bachís Brandenburg 4, Poulencís Sonata orchestrated by Lennox Berkeley.

Prizes and awards include the Philharmonia Orchestra Martin Musical Scholarship, Harold Clark Woodwind Prize, Jellinek Award and EMI Sound Foundation.

As an educator she has over 10 years experience teaching both in schools and privately, from beginner to diploma level. She is currently flute, piano and orchestral tutor at Dunraven School in Streatham and is also a tutor for Sussex Music School. Marielle also teaches privately from her studio at home in Brighton. She has also delivered composition and performance workshops with the London Breakbeat Orchestra and pop group St Etienne.
