Biography

Graduating from her four year honours degree in Jazz Music at Birmingham Conservatoire, Holly is an experienced vocalist who has taught singing lessons for seven years. Previously Holly studied both jazz and pop music at Leeds College of Music.
Holly performs regularly across the West Midlands as well as in London, and has toured both the UK and Europe with various bands, being fortunate enough to perform in prestigious venues such as The Vortex, 606 jazz club, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, the Manchester Jazz Festival, Callander Jazz Festival, Birmingham Symphony Hall bar, Soundwave Festival (Croatia) and B2Gether Festival (Lithuania).
As a composer Holly has recently written and recorded an album of music set to her own lyrics as well as poems by Wordsworth, R. S. Thomas and Leonard Cohen amongst others. Holly also leads various bands including a quintet, trio and duo.
Holly’s vocal teaching focuses on developing a strong technique and musical awareness in the student. She teaches a range of musical genres including pop, jazz, folk and musical theatre, adapting to each individual students needs. Holly aims to bring out the individuality in her students and help them find their own unique voice. She has years of teaching experience and a thorough knowledge of contemporary vocal techniques.
