You are invited to take music lessons with an experienced, friendly and patient teacher and performer. Helenís classes allow her pupils to enhance their love for music and develop their creativity along with a good classical technique.
Her commitment and skill have inspired her pupils to achieve outstanding marks in exams, participate in prestigious competitions and youth orchestras and with many students continuing along the path to becoming professional themselves.
Helen has pupils of all ages and abilities and also specialises in early years with an advanced teaching diploma.
Helen adapts her style of teaching according to the needs of each individual. As a student of Dr Selma Gokcen in the Alexander Technique for over 15 years Helen also offers consultations in instrument set up and incorporates the Alexander Technique into her teaching.
Helen lives in Benington near Stevenage and offers lessons from her home studio, on a weekly basis.

Classical Violinist HELEN BROWN BMus (Hons) trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with the late Professor Yfrah Neaman OBE, FGSM and later with Erika Klemperer. She has participated in master classes with some of the worlds leading Violinists including Itzhak Rashkovsky, Krzysztof Smietana, Emanuel Hurwitz, Ruggiero Ricci at the Dartington International Summer School and with Nobu Wakabayashi on Scholarship at the Bowdoin International Summer School in Maine, USA.
Helen performs regularly and has won numerous honours, awards and scholarships. She was the 2006 Winner of the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for Music, Acting, Stage Management and Technical Theatre. She was awarded the use of an Antonius Gragnani Violin c.1781 by the Benslow Music Trust and represented the UK in the Yfrah Neaman International Violin Competition in Mainz, Germany.
Helen has become a highly sought after teacher. She has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra in their outreach programme and has much experience in studio, TV and radio recording and music technology. She performed as Soloist and Director with the Cambridge Symphonia and in the Joy to the World and St. Georges day Celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall. Helen has performed in numerous Solo/Chamber and Orchestral concerts at many of the world's leading concert halls such as the National Theatre, Barbican, QE2 Hall, Purcell Rooms and the Colston Hall and with international tours to Austria, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany and the USA.
