Marc Trembovelski is a twenty three years-old French-Russian cellist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, studying with Felix Schmidt. At the age of seven, he started his cello studies with the Russian school of cello playing. His first teacher was Macha Yanoushevskaya, a former student of Valentin Berlinsky- founder of the Borodine Quartet-, and Mstislav Rostropovich. Marc is very multi-faceted and involved in multiple chamber and solo projects.

He has performed in front of large audiences just like in 2016 at the Christmas concert of the Rothschilds Society in London or in December 2019 ahe played at the Russian cultural center of London with the Russian pianist Julia Chaplina .

He took part in several competitions where he won prizes, such as the International Competition of the CRR of Paris in 2016, where he won a 2nd prize, the “Flame” competition and Leopold Bellan International Cello Competition in 2013, where he won a 3rd prize just like in 2014 in Russia at the S. Knushevitsky International Cello Competition. Furthermore he had coachings with Henri Demarquette, Jerome Pernoo and the Cremona Quartet. 2 years ago he was chosen for an annual masterclass for postgraduate students with Natalia Gutman. He has performed in several concerts with many outstanding musicans from all around the world. Marc is playing on a cello made in 1901 by Charles Resuche in Bordeaux France.

Passionate about teaching, Marc has a lot of experience not only with cello lesson but working with chamber groups too.
