Notes:

I am a professional singer and singing teacher based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. I have over 20 years of performing experience and over 18 years of teaching experience, covering all ages. I have a strong philosophy that everyone has a right to sing and have the enjoyment of music in their lives.

I offer 1:1 singing lessons for all ages, genders and abilities. Everybody can sing and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to introduce and encourage singing and music into people's lives. Adopting a therapeutic approach to teaching and strongly emphasising the need for relaxation while singing, I have worked with individuals living with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, CFS and learning disabilities.

The benefits of singing are endless; both physically and psychologically and I am currently studying for a MA in Voice Pedagogy, with a specialism in Singing for Health. I have a strong commitment to developing my skills and knowledge of the human voice and sharing the latest techniques with my students.

I also see a number of dancers and music students who come to me for guidance and support with performance and singing study, as well as theory of music and general musicianship. Former students have gained entry into SLP College, Italia Conti, Bird College, UCL and many others.

I am also a qualified Vocal Health First Aider, which means I have the practical skills to spot a range of vocal dysfunction and imbalance, as well as the very latest knowledge and understanding of vocal health and the factors that affect vocal wellbeing.

Theory is always included in singing lessons, however, I also offer additional theory of music lessons for those who wish to learn more about the theory of music and general musicianship.

I am also passionate about supporting clients who experience Music Performance Anxiety.

Studio and online lessons are available. A full studio risk assessment is carried out every month in line with Covid-19 restrictions.
