Notes:

Lessons with Shane are designed to suit your needs, and will be tailored to your aspirations after an initial consultation. Whether you wish to play for fun, work towards either The British College of Accordionists, Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity Guildhall, London College of Music instrumental exams, The Victoria College of Music, require guidance for school exams or wish to explore an area of music history, harmony and counterpoint, etc. - Shane is keen to help! Although his primary focus is instrumental, he will happily incorporate other relevant topics to support your interests.

Enthusiastic students of all varieties are welcome to try a consultation; from children (of at least seven years of age) to adults, and from beginner to advanced players. Once they have reached a proficient level, students will be encouraged to approach chamber music repertoire and related genres, and to perform for one another in informal concerts. All aspects of music-making are encouraged in a fun and warm environment!

A 10% discount applies to blocks of lessons booked and paid for in advance.

In the unlikely event if Shane needs to cancel a lesson, he will let you know as far in advance as possible. You will never be charged for a lesson Shane has cancelled. Should you wish to cancel a lesson, 48 hours notice must be given for general cancellations and 24 hours in the case of illness. Lessons missed without this requested notice will be charged at full price.

Can travel to student's home for an additional fee, if based beyond 5 miles away from the teacher's music studio.

Expert advice on buying an accordion or a piano/keyboard can be given if you do not have one.

Alternatively, instruments are available here for hire.
