Biography

I grew up in Essex where I gained my grade 8 on the recorder aged 11. I was a chorister at Chelmsford Cathedral taking part in numerous radio and television broadcasts. I was an oboist in the Essex Youth Orchestras for five years and gained a distinction in grade 8 aged 16.

I studied oboe and voice at the Trinity College of Music on the Foundation Course and then, on a full scholarship, on the Undegraduate Course. During my course, I studied Alexander Technique for 4 years. I graduated with a BMUS(HONS) in 2008. 2004-7 I was a Lay Clerk at Chelmsford Cathedral. 2007-10 I was a Lay Clerk at Guildford Cathedral. Since September 2010 I have been working as a Songman at York Minster. Since graduating I have worked as a freelance singer. I also teach privately.

As a musician I have toured France, Germany, Poland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and America.

I am happy to teach people of all ages and abilities, whether it be for grades or not.
