I teach French horn, trumpet, cornet, trombone and other brass instruments, having gained instrumental teaching experience on my PGCE placement with Trafford Music Service. I then went on to run a brass teaching project at a primary school every weekday morning and have had casual teaching work with both Trafford Music Service and One Education.

I achieved Horn Grade 8 with distinction aged 17, and was Principal in Hampshire County Youth Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, playing 1st horn solos in pieces such as Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony and Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony. Taking part in many musical groups, I have participated in tours of countries including the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, France, and Austria. At school I conducted ensembles for various rehearsals, won Senior Instrumentalist of the Year in 2007 and performed Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 3 with a professional orchestra.

Whilst at university I played in many ensembles on the French Horn, including the Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble and chamber groups. I also played French horn in a number of semi-professional performances. I have had percussion lessons for a year and was recently an active member of the Manchester School of Samba.

During my career I have spent four summers teaching music at North American Summer Camps. In 2010 I was at Eaglearts Academy in Canada for five weeks, and have spent a total of 30 weeks working at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts in upstate New York.
