Notes:

I am a dynamic violin teacher based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for more than seven years. I have enjoyed guiding them in schools, on the various summer courses, including the one for the BBC Proms, and privately. I love both teaching and performing with leading orchestras in the UK, such as Ulster Orchestra, The Halle Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

I have worked at the Royal Academy of Music, Junior Department in London. Nowadays, I teach for Pro Corda, Tower Hamlet Music Service, coach players in National Orchestra for All, and teach 1:1 or in groups.

I am also Ambassador for Nicola Benedetti Foundation, supporting children of various ages in orchestral workshops and concerts.

I have a MA degree in Violin Performance from the Royal Academy of Music. I have been privileged to study with Sophie Langdon and with the leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Pieter Schoeman. I am excited to pass all my experience on to my students.

I provide them with the tools they need for making music: a strong musical foundation with a good sense of rhythm, pitch, quality of sound and a free movement. I help them to ease their playing as much as possible, because only with effortless playing the best musical results can be achieved.

I strive to maintain a productive and pleasant atmosphere and adjust the lessons to every student so they obtain maximum benefit. I guide them through their own musical journey at their own pace.

My way of teaching is well organised, goal-oriented and fun. I teach my students to understand the basic principles of left and right hands, and relate these to the pieces of music we are learning. I also advise and guide them how to practise, which is something not very often taught.

During lesson, I reserve time to explain relevant music theory, notes reading and help them with sight-reading.
I encourage my students to undertake musical exams, and believe these can motivate, but it's the students' choice to decide whether it is really for them.
