Notes:

Hello, I am Amy and I teach the flute and piano from my home in Stockport.

I graduated from The University of Manchester in 1999 with a Mus(Hons) and studied for a PGCE two years later.

Ever since, I have been teaching instrumental and theory lessons in schools around Stockport/ Manchester as well as from home.

I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Ethnomusicology at the University of Manchester.

I teach students of a variety of ages, from 5 to around 63 (I'm too polite to ask!) and cater for all abilities from beginner to advanced. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and have completed several first aid and child welfare courses over the years.

Some people like to work towards graded examinations for which I am more than happy to assist you in achieving. I have extensive experience in preparing students for all grades for both AMRSM and Trinity exam boards. Others prefer to progress without taking exams, focusing on alternative ambitions. Either approach is absolutely fine by me.

I also have experience in helping students to prepare for GCSE and A-level performances, theory exams, auditions for various music colleges and performance diplomas.
