Genre/Style(s): Classical and Popular Music
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I am a singing teacher and professional singer living in central Bath.

I studied singing at the Royal Academy of Music whilst under the tuition of Joy Mammen. As well as the vocal training she gave me, I left the Academy with an LRAM certificate in singing which was an intensive course studying in depth - vocal technique. I have found this invaluable as it has allowed me to have a successful career in opera for the past 20 years as well as assisting in my teaching.

I came to opera late having started out playing guitar and singing in a band, mainly country and folk.

Whilst at the Academy I took the opportunity to sing in some musical theatre scenes which were headed by Mary Hammond. I performed with the Cameron Mackintosh Orchestra and sang solo from Les Misérables and Little Shop of Horrors which was great fun if not a bit nerve raking!

I feel that I have a lot to offer in many fields of music and am a great believer in rebelling against stylisation but seeking 'your true voice' or more to the point 'your true self'.

I like my lessons to be fun as I think that's what singing should ultimatley be about.

I teach all levels of singing from beginners to professionals.

Some of the pupils I have taught have gone on to follow professional careers, including Georgia Mancio and Robert Yammouni.
